saturday was cloudy, but not raining. so with milla's guidance, we started planting some things in the back yard. a major transformation took place out there.
we planted 4 rhodedenrum. chris dug the holes.
it became very clear why there are all these rock walls in new england, the ground is full of stones.
mom and zaven worked really long and hard and got some ground cover planted and even spread mulch. it looks like a team of landscapers were out there. but it was milla and zaven.
here is zaven showing chris the "hens and chickens", a little succulent that he and milla planted among the hasta and rhody.
milla and zaven also foudn stones and made a cute little edging to the new beds.
the rsvps for zaven's birthday party are coming in. so far we have 2 boys and 3 girls in the yes column. so even if everyone else says no, we would be fine. but hopefully more people can make it!
today was church, chris did a great job preaching. zaven had fun in children's chapel and nell slept thorugh most of it. after church we went to narragansett and had lunch with aunt laurie and uncle jim at the point judith country club. it was a good time. mom is spending the night with them in stonington tonight. i will go and get her tomorrow.
that is the start of the whirlwind.
right now i am working on a master grocery list that has me going to three grocery stores and buying a ton of stuff. i will be making a graham cracker cake on friday. a magnolia bakery cake on saturday and another magnolia cake for sunday.
that my friends in a lot of butter eggs and conf. sugar!
