yesterday was a beautiful day.
chris had his day off and we had a great time as a family.
we went to lunch and found a new sushi place in newport. then we made some returns and purchases at tj maxx.

and then we did something that zaven has been anticipating for several months.


we went for soft serve ice cream at "frosty freez". it is only open april-september and people here line up for the stuff all season long.
we drive by on our way to most anything so it is always top of mind for zaven.
so we decided that we would agree to one trip per week.
zaven was the only one to get some yesterday, he got a small chocolate cone and ate the whole thing.
i had to do some clean up licks on the way, much to his dismay and my delight!

then we had fish tacos with mango and avocado salsa for dinner. yummy.

nell managed to roll from her tummy to her back yesterday.

still no pictures of zaven's haircut, i need to do some touch ups.

chris is off to the Bishop's wedding. she is 60 and has never been married. so i think it is pretty cool that she found someone after she says she had stopped looking. a beautiful day for it, no doubt.

the other day at a playdate, nell sat in a bumbo seat and really liked it, i may try to find one today for her.




p.s. i realize beetle, as in bug, is spelled beetle, but i like beatle better, what can you expect from someone who grew up being called bizzy
