Grammy & Papa Are here!

As I type Zaven and Larry and Armen are out on a 12Meter Sailboat.
We are looking forward to hearing all about that.

When I went to download my photos, I have a couple from the Sunday before Milla left,
we played some tennis and then went swimming at Whetstone.

Zaven has decided to take up the guitar and Chris is teaching him...

Thursday there was an "Orientation" at Zaven's school.
Zaven, Chris and I went and met Zaven's teacher, Mrs Pasyanos.
We saw his classroom, the gym, cafeteria, and library and then he got to play on the playground.

It looks like Zaven will be riding the bus to school. Bus #6- I'll let you know how that goes.
He is the first one on the route, but it is a short route.
To my knowledge he will not know anyone that will be on the bus.

Nell went to a Welcoming Day at her school with Grammy and Papa, she had never been on the playground there and apparently had a really nice time.
She is starting on Tuesday.

Hope everyone has a good labor day.

maine and more

we had a great visit to biddeford pool, maine.
melanie and greg and three adorable girls were nice enough to host us.
the kids all got along great.
we had rock hopping, rock bowling, rock goal keeping- it is a rocky shore there in maine!

we went up thursday and came home saturday, it was a nice visit.

sunday there was a parish breakfast. nell enjoyed licking the icing off of the lemon muffins.

after church some of the kids ran around and burned off some extra energy from all that sitting still!

chris and i had off from work on monday and enjoyed running around as a family.

it was back to the grind today...
and the kids are still silly!

we are looking forward to milla and grammy and papa's upcoming visits!

more fun

nell plays with the cute finger puppets that Grammy and Papa sent.

nell hams it up for the camera

saturday we had a lot of fun going on adventures. we went to the bird sanctuary with the hopes of walking out to hanging rock.
but we were swarmed by mosquitos and had to turn back. even with bug spray on they were all over us. considering nell's bad reaction, huge red bumps, we left. instead we went to a coastal access point that is right up the road, but that we had never been to. it was really pretty and we collected some rocks and driftwood. when we came home chris and zaven hammered some pieces of wood together and then zaven and nell painted the sign.

then after dinner we went over to Jamestown and saw the Beaver Tail Lighthouse and sat and watched the waves crash in on the rocks.
it was a fun day.

this week is going well.
we are hoping to go to a baseball game tomorrow night.

daddy's girl

the other night nell woke up before chris and i had gone to bed, so she ended up wanting to sit in bed a read with dad.

too cute!

in case you were wondering if nell's hair is still curly, or if it has been humid here lately,
here is the answer to both questions.

and what a difference a year makes.

are you still there?

Hi!
Sorry that it has been so long since I have posted.
Even I have started checking to see if there is anything new...no luck.

I have no excuse. I just have not been taking many pictures.

We had a great trip to the Outerbanks of NC. Chris and Zaven went on to Cleveland and had a great visit.

Since we have all been home together we have been enjoying fun family activities.
Chris bough Zaven a fish tank.
The excitement was replaced by grief early on, when we had a fish...well like 4 fish die in the first 48 hours.
Things have settled down now and everyone is enjoying them now.

We have gone for a couple of picnics (Chris reminded us that when Zaven was little he called them "nin-nics")
One was at a refurbished 8-vane windmill.

Today we had a great day. Zaven sat quietly and still in church.
Nell had fun playing in the nursery. After church Nell and Chris had naps while Zaven and I went to the grocery store.
Then I went and played some doubles, my first time on the tennis court in a long time.
Zaven came and watched and then he and I hit for a while.

Nell is talking a lot. She can say almost anything, if you ask her to.
She loves to play outside. Ride her bike. Run down the hill in the back yard.

Starting tomorrow, Zaven is going to camp at the Bird Sanctuary. He is excited. I hope that he will have fun.

I will try to do better with my updates.
