this first week of work and drop-offs and pickups, has turned into carefully timed trips. trying to figure out how long each piece of the trip takes. what time do i need to wake up? how long does it take me to et ready? dry my hair? make lunches? unload the dishwasher.
it is an exciting time and everyone is doing a great job helping out.
for the record, i can empty the dishwasher in the 2 minutes it takes to warm the milk for my latte!
zaven is studying the letter F this week. he even has homework worksheets to complete, much to his delight!
today at school they went on a field trip to go apple picking. then this afternoon he got to work with clay. he made a beehive and a snake family with 7 babies.
nell had another good day. she was happy when i dropped her off and happy when i came in, only to whine a little when she saw me and try to get out of the high chair where she was sitting.
work is going well. i am starting to remember what i know. and see where i can add value and help the department.
they have been excited about some of my solutions and ideas, so we seem to be off to a good start.
also because i get to work by 8:30 i get a good parking space, which is nice.
chris is up at st. george's for the evensong. we have a busy life, but one that is full of lots of joy and blessings.
we have even built 30 minutes of time together into our morning schedule. so that is nice. it makes things seem less hectic and disjointed.
