we had a great time being away.
we went to TN first and had a great visit there.
brice picked us up at the airport in atlanta, got to have dinner at taqueria with friends, so fun!
goofed around in chattanooga. poppy took zaven to fred's barber shop for a haircut. it was fun and zaven's new "big boy" haircut looks great.
lexie and kendall came up to visit for the weekend and that was so fun. zaven and kevin and alexander all played. we went swimming,
got ice cream, went on the carousel,
and played in the water park.
one classic story was pam and lexie had taken zaven to go pick up alexander from camp and then we were all meeting for ice cream. on the way frm camp alexander,8, was explaining to zaven what a spedometer was and zaven finally jumped in and said "i have NO idea what you are talking about" and alexander replied "i know, that is why i am trying to tell you in simple terms". they had a good time, in spite of the the age/knowledge gap.
we had a great time at the party milla threw for everyone that was in town and around. a group of about 20.
then on wednesday ginny came with the three kids and we had a blast. the kids had a successful lemonade stand.
they made $9 in a very short amount of time. we had to close up shop after running out mid-order. but it was a fun activity.
after a fun time in chattanooga, and chris' arrival after a 17hr, drive staight from ri, we headed down to FL and had a great two weeks there.
lots of swimming. lots of reading. lots of sun. grammy and papa came down on friday and the kids were thrilled. as were chris and i. we were able to go out to dinner and lunch, just the two of us, which was nice.
after two weeks there, it was time to drive home...
it was really not that bad. we drove from FL to TN, then TN to the very top of VA and then VA to home.
we are now home and getting back into the swing of things.
i will try to get back on the blog. and keep you up to date on our goings on here.
we are headed up to sachuest for a family walk in a few minutes and are having gazpacho and cheese toast for dinner.
p.s. i have not given you a thoughtful recap of our whole trip. we saw so many people and had a great time. i have not mentioned everything or everyone. i only had a minute and just wanted to get something up.
